In The People's Hands
is a new zine (a progressive and creative magazine). It is the ideal example of the wonderful and surprising results of grassroots art, writing, and publication.
Specifically, it is a zine with community and cultural roots. Our primary focus purposefully features the artists, poets and writers of a local and new radicalism.
Our zine exhibits content that either heavily improvises upon or altogether steers clear of the all-too-familiar patterns of mainstream publications.
We do not limit ourselves to publishing work of any particular school, style, or tradition; we remain faithfully revolutionary because we believe in representing (not defining) the entire contour of progressive are and writing.
The form and content of In The People's Hands is as diverse as it is thought provoking.
